Exciting news Macc area resident (& connected*) artists! We've launched an Open Call for Art for an exhibition opening June 16th 2023 on the theme of "in a new light" (however that may be interpreted). It will open with a preview evening on Friday the 16th, then open throughout Barnaby Festival 2023 and beyond! The exhibition will be in The Doll's House Art Gallery inside Grosvenor Centre, opp Greggs.

The "Small" Print
  • *Connected means: you consider that you live close by / Macc is your nearest larger town, regularly visiting, working, studying or born in Macc or frequently using it as an artistic subject. We won't be checking though!

  • Any style, any medium

  • Original art preferred where relevant (eg painting over print) but print accepted.

  • Speak to us about screen, audio, window, light based or other unusual artworks. Old or new work accepted

  • 2 titled piece limit per artist (eg 3 small framed as a triptych counts as 1.)

  • Maximum size for wall-based art approx 10x10cm (4x4" or equivalent to 4x4 feet full scale!), sculpture approx 12 x 6cm, however smaller is preferred as the max sizes are quite "big"! Can be larger for the 2x "outdoor" spaces.

  • You are welcome to mount or frame wall-based artwork yourself, however some frames and canvases are available - DM for pick-up or reserve a particular frame or we can frame for you later if you drop off artwork: - Canvases, white, 7x9cm - Clear plastic keyring frames 5x3.5cm (pane optional) - A few wood frames 6x4.5cm (can be painted) - A few White plastic frames 5.5x4.25cm

  • Add Artist Name, Title, Medium, Year to back and include stamped addressed enveloped if you want it returned.

  • Post/deliver to 130 Park Lane, Macclesfield, SK11 6UB before Saturday June 10th 2023, or DM to organise an alternative.
